Camilla might be giving King Charles some sage advice when it comes to his ongoing rift with Prince Harry. The Queen Consort has reportedly had a hand in telling her husband what to do in spite of some protests from Prince William.<\/p>\n
The report comes after former Royal photographer Ian Pelham Turner told The Express<\/a> that King Charles has the \u201cfinal decision\u201d on whether he will meet with Prince Harry at the Invictus Games in September 2025. \u201cIn my opinion, the feeling I get, is that William is trying to take over the monarchy and in reality, Charles is saying, \u2018I\u2019m the King. He said, \u201cI think what is happening at the moment, and it\u2019s just my inkling, there\u2019s nothing I can sort of prove, and say, \u2018this is the case,\u2019 but I get the feeling at the moment, that she\u2019s seeing William trying to create issues and she\u2019s told Charles to stop it.\u201d<\/p>\n The former photographer also speculated that William thinks \u201cthat he\u2019s the driving force behind the throne,\u201d but points out that \u201cI think, Charles should be.\u201d<\/p>\n Things are getting lax between Charles<\/a> and Harry ever since they are closer to reconciling than they have been before. Their senior aides recently held a secret meeting, which was believed to be the first big step towards resolving the feud between them. \u201cThere\u2019s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years,\u201d The Mail on Sunday reported. Harry had even opened up his schedule to the royal family, making it an olive branch ever since the rift.<\/p>\n Reports from Us Weekly<\/a> indicate that Camilla wants Charles to \u201chold onto the reins for as long as possible,\u201d as King since she \u201cloves her responsibilities,\u201d has wanted to be Queen \u201cher whole life,\u201d and \u201cdoesn\u2019t want to let it go so fast.\u201d<\/p>\n When King Charles dies, Camilla will lose her title as Queen Consort and her royal title will become Queen Dowager, which is the royal family term for the King\u2019s widow. When William<\/a> ascends to the throne, it\u2019s unclear about what Camilla\u2019s roles will be. Royal author Christopher Anderson notes that he \u201ctolerates\u201d his stepmom, who has always been \u201ca little afraid\u201d of him, but in the end, they\u2019d \u201calways had a tense relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n It might make sense for her to be a little scared as Harry feels the same way. Royal biographer Tom Bower told\u00a0The Mirror\u00a0<\/a>\u201cHarry is seriously worried that when his father dies one day, William will literally banish him and he will have no status in Britain at all.
