(Adobe Stock Photo)

Auto Bild test drive confirms European standards

Auto Bild magazine’s editorial team drove the T10X from Türkiye to Germany, passing through Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovenia and Austria.

The publication shared their journey and impressions in a video report titled “Togg T10X: First drive with the SUV from Türkiye” and “Istanbul to Munich: What the Turkish Tesla can do.”

Starting at the production center in Kocaeli Gemlik, editor Thomas Geiger began the report asking, “Have you seen this logo before? This is Togg,” before documenting the vehicle’s performance on European roads.

The Auto Bild team emphasized that the T10X provided a trouble-free journey, noting the vehicle’s technical and electronic features throughout the trip. After completing the journey to Munich without issues, the team characterized the T10X as “a car that is at the same level as its European and Chinese competitors.”

The Bild report emphasized that “Togg would be unthinkable without the Turkish government,” describing it as a billion-dollar project with a political mandate rather than a startup.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called it “a 60-year dream coming true” at the 2022 factory opening in Gemlik, referencing the failed “Devrim” auto project of the 1960s.

Togg, which was established in 2018, introduced its first electric vehicle prototype in December 2019, the T10X. The company started mass-producing the T10X model in 2022 and began deliveries to customers the following year.

The company also introduced its fastback T10F model last year, and it is about to receive pre-orders for this model soon.

Togg has not yet officially confirmed the timeline or details of its sales launch in Germany.

<img decoding="async" class="newspicture" src="https://www.europesays.com/uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/1-in-4-cars-sold-to-be-electric-in-2024-report-3201425.jpeg" alt="Togg electric vehicles parked outside the Turkish automaker’s showroom in Ankara, Türkiye, on March 25, 2024. Instead, it plans to offer the vehicle via its “Trumore” digital platform. The company already operates an office in Stuttgart, and the sales launch is targeted for late 2025.

“The company is now entering its first foreign market—Germany. That’s no coincidence, with around 3 million people of Turkish origin living here,” the article stated.

German media highlighted the vehicle’s role in Türkiye’s broader diplomatic strategy. Togg models have already been gifted to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

“An E-car as a symbol of power and now an export product for Germany,” Bild wrote.

August 03, 2025 12:03 AM GMT+03:00

A TOGG T10X electric SUV is displayed at Nautilus Shopping Centre in Istanbul, Türkiye, on November 24, 2024.…

[5310
2000,299,1824
0":"post-313527","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-germany","8":"tag-eu","9":"tag-europe","10":"tag-germany
["GET
