Mattioli Woods Welford Road<\/a> played host to a spectacular feast of rugby as the Red Roses were rampant in yet another entertaining encounter in Leicester.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Returning for the third time after previously battling Ireland and Scotland in Six Nations clashes at Tigers HQ, another noisy atmosphere greeted the two teams in what was a fabulous day out.<\/p>\n

The golden\u00a0sunshine throughout the day reflected a bright and pervasive\u00a0positivity across the lively crowd of 5’286 who were in fine voice throughout.<\/p>\n

The day started off with a bang as the Roses took part in their own version of the Plaza Prowl, welcomed by a flock of supporters in fine voice to greet the team on their walk from voco Leicester<\/a> to the stadium.<\/p>\n

As the Tradeview Markets stand<\/a> begin to fill, so to did the atmosphere, which hit a crescendo as the Roses emerged onto the field before a rousing rendition of both anthems, England’s performed live.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then it was down to business and the hosts put on a real show, with seven tries in a whirlwind first half somehow bettered with eight scores after the break.<\/a><\/p>\n

The admiration\u00a0were not just reserved for England\u00a0either as\u00a0Cl\u00e0udia Pe\u00f1a’s superb score\u00a0 for Spain shortly after the break elicited a tremendous cheer from those in attendance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A slew of selfies and chats followed as the 5’000 strong crowd headed pitch side to meet the teams and send them off with well wishes and good luck ahead of their respective quests to become World Champions.<\/p>\n

The Red Roses\u00a0now turn their attention solely toward that\u00a0quest for Rugby World Cup glory, with the tournament set to kick off in less than three weeks.<\/p>\n
