With little over a fortnight to go until August 18’s opener against Everton, Leeds’ lack of attacking options was laid bare against Villarreal.

Leeds are prioritising moves for a new striker and a left-sided winger. A bright spark in Leicester’s year, El Khannouss wants an instant return.

Leeds held a meeting with El Khannouss’ camp last Wednesday in a bid to thrash out a deal. It is claimed that Leeds have informed El Khannouss’ representatives they will pay the £24.5m clause in his contract.

Now, Africa Foot reveal the details of Leeds’ offer to El Khannouss. With a transfer fee set, a £50,000-a-week offer has been tabled for El Khannouss after Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli tried to sign the wide man.

MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES

Why Leeds may have a trump card over rivals for El Khannouss

Leeds are obviously, not the only side interested in El Khannouss. As aforementioned and according to the report from Africa Foot, Saudi Pro League giants Al Ahli have already tried to sign him this summer.

Crystal Palace want El Khannouss, while Sunderland could try to beat Leeds and land another player on the Leeds list. But, Leeds have a trump card in pursuit of the Leicester man, thanks to Sebastiaan Bornauw.

Bornauw and El Khannouss are both represented by Stirr Associates according to TransferMarkt. Leeds have obviously dealt with this agency this summer, and that may help smooth a deal for El Khannouss.

Following the signings of Anton Stach and Lucas Perri, Leeds United looked well-placed to go on the attack…

[8814
107635,748,393,4884,1860,100,16,15
0":"post-314298","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-leeds","8":"tag-bilal-el-khannouss","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-england","11":"tag-great-britain","12":"tag-leeds","13":"tag-transfer-news","14":"tag-uk","15":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
