With only a month of summer left, many people might be rushing to book a last-minute break or starting to dream about next year’s holidays, with Spain remaining among the favourite destinations for British travellers.<\/p>\n

While popular tourist destinations like Benidorm, Barcelona and Marbella have seen locals protesting against the huge numbers of annual visitors, several hidden towns stay relatively quiet – and they’re virtually on our doorstep.<\/p>\n

To assist, a French traveller named Marina has shared her “hidden-gem” spot for those wanting to experience Spanish culture without the masses.<\/p>\n

Among the many overlooked towns is Izna\u0301jar, reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Located in Co\u0301rdoba province in Andalucia in southern Spain, this settlement is home to 4,960 inhabitants whilst keeping a vibrant community spirit.<\/p>\n

“One of the most beautiful villages of Spain,” Marina captioned her TikTok video while displaying moments from her visit.<\/p>\n

Wandering through the stone-paved streets in a bright yellow dress, Marina presented the white-painted houses decorated with blue blooming plants, producing a setting that echoes Greece’s Santorini.<\/p>\n

Marina penned in her video’s caption: “Save this for one of the most beautiful villages of Spain. Which one is your favourite?” She proceeded to reveal the precise location where she captured the footage: “Izna\u0301jar – a must see of the Pueblos Blancos This exact spot is called Patio de las Comedias.”<\/p>\n

Patio de las Comedias is a tapas restaurant positioned in the town’s centre, close to the ancient castle. Beyond serving authentic Spanish tapas, it also offers spectacular views overlooking the remainder of the settlement.<\/p>\n

She subsequently unveiled a stunning panorama from an elevated position, displaying countless rows of delightful white structures with olive plantations extending towards the horizon. Olive cultivation represents a crucial economic pursuit in Izna\u0301jar, though tourism is gaining momentum.<\/p>\n

For visitors eager to experience Spanish countryside, Marina also spotlighted the Iznajar Reservoir which surrounds the settlement. It stands as Andaluci\u0301a’s most extensive reservoir and becomes a thriving “beach” throughout the summer months.<\/p>\n

Should you crave more than simply a picturesque village adventure, you’ll be delighted to discover that Izna\u0301jar sits just an hour’s journey from lively Marbella, ideal for an urban getaway.<\/p>\n

Reaching this ancient settlement proves straightforward for global visitors, with Marbella airport serving as the closest entry point.<\/p>\n
