{"id":315422,"date":"2025-08-03T20:29:14","date_gmt":"2025-08-03T20:29:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/315422\/"},"modified":"2025-08-03T20:29:14","modified_gmt":"2025-08-03T20:29:14","slug":"im-glad-its-over-lewis-hamilton-looking-forward-to-going-away-after-tough-hungary-weekend-finishes-without-points","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/315422\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018I\u2019m glad it\u2019s over\u2019 \u2013 Lewis Hamilton \u2018looking forward to going away\u2019 after tough Hungary weekend finishes without points"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Lewis Hamilton\u2019s challenging weekend in Hungary continued on Sunday, with the Ferrari driver finishing the Grand Prix a lap down and outside the points-paying positions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">After a tricky first day of practice, Hamilton dropped out in the second Qualifying phase and started from 12th position \u2013 commenting afterwards that he was <a class=\"text-brand-hot-red underline decoration-1 hover:decoration-[3px]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/latest\/article\/im-absolutely-useless-hamilton-says-ferrari-probably-need-to-change-driver.1J2XkHH9G49YuEzwVEt1bC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cabsolutely useless\u201d<\/a> and Ferrari \u201cprobably need to change driver\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Hamilton\u2019s hopes of making progress around the tight, twisty Budapest venue were low and, despite the seven-time World Champion\u2019s best efforts, he ended the 70-lap encounter where he started.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Summing up his day on F1 TV, Hamilton simply called it a \u201cpretty bad\u201d experience, before being asked if any progress had been possible, to which he said: \u201cNot really, no. Just stuck where I was.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">As for his mindset going into the summer break, Hamilton stated: \u201cSame as it was yesterday. I\u2019m glad it\u2019s over. I\u2019m looking forward to going away.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">In another interview with Sky Sports F1, Hamilton was asked to expand on his headline-making post-Qualifying comment that Ferrari should consider a driver change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Pushed on whether he is finding it difficult to pick himself up, and whether he could help viewers understand his remarks, Hamilton said: \u201cNot particularly. When you have a feeling, you have a feeling. There\u2019s a lot going on in the background that is not great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">Meanwhile, F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali, who previously served as Ferrari\u2019s team boss, was keen to show his support for Hamilton amid the Briton\u2019s struggles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cFirst of all, Lewis is a jewel, he is an incredible athlete, so no matter if it is a difficult moment, he will react, and I\u2019m pretty sure he will show the reason why he is here,\u201d noted Domenicali to Sky Sports F1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"typography-module_body-s-regular__ul7F5 typography-module_md_body-m-regular__d9VRg typography-module_lg_body-l-regular__dPa5z\">\u201cHe wants to achieve his eighth title, and he will triumph again.
