\n\tOasis<\/a>\u00a0said Sunday (Aug. 3) that its members are \u201cshocked and saddened\u201d after a man fell to his death during a concert held by the band at London\u2019s Wembley Stadium.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Metropolitan Police force said officers and paramedics responded to reports of an injured person just before 10:30 (21:30 GMT) on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt said a man in his 40s was found \u201cwith injuries consistent with a fall.\u201d He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe force urged anyone who saw what happened or caught it on phone video to contact police.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night,\u201d Oasis said in a statement obtained by The Associated Press, offering \u201dsincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStadium management said Sunday\u2019s gig would go ahead as planned.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a statement published by The Hollywood Reporter, a Wembley spokesperson confirmed, \u201cLast night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concertgoer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. The Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOasis\u2019\u00a0first tour in 16 years kicked off July 4 in Cardiff, Wales. Saturday\u2019s concert was the fourth of seven planned shows at Wembley. The tour continues in North America, Asia, Australia and South America after its European run.<\/p>\n
