\n Four fire crews and an aerial ladder platform were called to reports of a fire in a disused building on Dock Road at 5.51pm on Saturday, August 3.\n<\/p>\n
\n Arriving at the two-story building just four minutes later, two firefighters wearing oxygen masks went in to tackle the blaze from the inside.\n<\/p>\n
\n A service drone was used to assess the progress of the blaze, and the building was split into sectors.\n<\/p>\n
\n Dock Road was closed in both directions, and the public was advised to avoid the area. \u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service reported the fire was put out by 7.11pm, and the crews had left the scene by 7.36pm.\n<\/p>\n
\n Its spokesman said: \u201cCrews were alerted a 5.51pm and arrived on scene at 5.55pm.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cFour fire engines, an aerial appliance, and the service drone were at the scene.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cCrews arrived to find a two storey derelict building involved in fire.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cTwo firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were immediately committed to the property to fight the fire using a main branch hose.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThe incident was sectorised, with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus fighting the fire internally using a main branch, and additional external firefighting using a hose reel jet.\n<\/p>\n
