Despite the Race committee boat’s best efforts, the hoped-for wind failed to materialise. After some time on the water, racing was postponed, and competitors returned to shore. Spirits remained high as sailors continued to build friendships by playing basketball, table tennis, and volleyball. Later, it was announced that racing would be abandoned for the day, allowing sailors to socialise further and prepare their boats for the following day.

That evening, a lively music concert hosted by the city brought together sailors and their families in the event village, adding a festive atmosphere to the event.

4th Day of Racing

At the halfway point of the 2025 World Championships, the atmosphere was electric, with sailors and their families excitedly gathered to celebrate this major event for the Feva family. Under glorious sunshine, sailors launched into breathtaking views, eager to make up for the previous day’s lack of racing.

In the first race of the final series, David and Valentin Vogl from Austria, (sail no. 5842), claimed their first victory. They were followed by France’s Angelin Bertholon Lavavoire and Guillaume Laravoire, (sail no. 9117), in second place, and New Zealand’s Zofia Wells and Charlotte Handley, (sail no. 9153), in third.

The second race saw David and Valentin Vogl secure another first-place finish (sail no.5842) . Italy’s Edoardo Bastini and Samuele Bardelli, (sail no. 7882), took second, with fellow Italians Leonardo Maccarinelli and David Levrangi, (sail no. 8745), close behind in third.

In the third race, David and Valentin Vogl, who were super focused, achieved their third consecutive victory. Edoardo Bastini and Samuels Bardelli once again came second, with another Italian team, Luca Sorprani and Luca Zamboni, (sail no. 7300), claiming third place.

The fourth and final race of the day was held as winds lightened further. Determined to secure a first-place finish, Zofia Wells and Charlotte Handley from New Zealand succeeded, (sail boat no. 9153). Thomas and Daniel Whitehead from Great Britain (sail no. 8686), took second place, having been strong contenders throughout the event. David and Valentin Vogl continued their impressive performance, finishing third in this race.

Sailors were pleased to have completed four races as they returned to shore.

5th and Final Day of Racing

On the final day, sailors launched under sunny skies and light winds, hoping for more racing opportunities. The race committee continuously searched for wind on the lake, but unfortunately, conditions did not improve. By mid-afternoon, sailors returned to shore without completing any races. Despite this, the exhilarating spirits of sailors and families remained high as they had enjoyed the entire event. The continuous efforts from the CNVA especially Zélie, Alexis and Clem, to make this World Championship a success were immense and appreciated by everyone present.

Full results can be found here.

RS Feva Worlds at Aix-les-Bains, France – Final Series by Chrissie Le Petit 3 Aug 04:44 PDT 26…

[5309
15002,14997,2000,299,36,15004,12,14999,6922,1071,14998,14236,15000,14995,15003,15001,14996
0":"post-315719","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-france","8":"tag-boat","9":"tag-boating","10":"tag-eu","11":"tag-europe","12":"tag-france","13":"tag-lake","14":"tag-news","15":"tag-photographs","16":"tag-photos","17":"tag-racing","18":"tag-reports","19":"tag-results","20":"tag-sail","21":"tag-sailing","22":"tag-sea","23":"tag-yacht","24":"tag-yachting
["GET
