Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust confirm how they plan to protest for the Championship opener at Leicester City.<\/p>\n

Not only has a GoFundMe page been launched to fund protests and actions against Sheffield Wednesday\u2019s owner, Dejphon Chansiri, a letter has been sent to the EFL.<\/p>\n

The club faces a dire crisis: unpaid wages for three months, an unsafe North Stand, a transfer embargo, only 15 senior players left, manager Danny R\u00f6hl\u2019s departure, and key players like Josh Windass and Michael Smith leaving for free.<\/p>\n

The EFL may withhold funds to settle debts, a friendly match was canceled due to a player boycott, and the season opener against Leicester is at risk.<\/p>\n

The Supporters\u2019 Trust is organising protests, including a visible demonstration at the Leicester away game, to be broadcast on Sky Sports, and further actions at the home game against Stoke City, with fans urged to display black and gold protest colours and support the fight.<\/p>\n

The SWFC Supporters Trust is calling on all fans attending our opening fixture away at Leicester City to take part in a Late to your seat protest.<\/p>\n

The Trust have arranged a large banner to be displayed in a visibly empty away end, to be captured by the nations cameras.<\/p>\n

The banner will be displayed outside the stadium also, prior to kick off. We are famed for our incredible support, let\u2019s display that we have had enough.<\/p>\n

We ask all supporters to remain outside the stadium\/in the concourses and delay entry to your seat until 5 minutes after the first whistle. Once five minutes of the game has passed, we ask supporters to make their way to their seats in a safe and orderly manner, this protest has been organised in discussion with LCFC.. Vocal displeasure towards our current ownership is encouraged.<\/p>\n

With the match live on Sky Sports, a visibly empty away end will highlight the seriousness of our club\u2019s plight, to a national audience.<\/p>\n

An additional impactful, visual large-scale display has been arranged for the day, which we hope will make a huge statement.<\/p>\n

Whilst we are fully aware stronger action is required this season, we do not feel this is the correct fixture, the opportunity for nationwide coverage is too good to miss.<\/p>\n

Further details for stronger action at our first home game against Stoke City, will be provided very soon. We thank supporters for their incredible backing in these difficult times.<\/p>\n
