A man was punched in the face during an “altercation” with a group of youths in the city centre<\/a>. The assault <\/a>on <\/a>London Road<\/a> <\/a>is believed to have happened at around 7.45pm on Sunday, August 3.<\/p>\n It was reported to Merseyside Police<\/a> that a man in his 40s had been punched during an altercation with a group of youths.<\/p>\n The man was treated at the scene by paramedics for a facial injury.<\/p>\n In photos sent to the ECHO<\/a>, a cordon can be seen in place on the road, with an Arriva bus inside the small cordon.<\/p>\n The force is appealing for anyone who saw the incident to get in touch.<\/p>\n No arrests have been reported.<\/p>\n A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information following an assault on London Street at around 7.45pm yesterday (Sunday, August 3).<\/p>\n “It was reported that a man aged in his 40s had been punched following an altercation with a group of youths. The man was treated at the scene by paramedics for a facial injury.<\/p>\n “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
