Florian Lipowitz<\/a> returned home
\nfrom the Tour de France<\/a> as a star, with a white jersey and a spot on the final
\npodium as proof. The 24-year-old German finished third overall, behind only
\nTadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard, capping off a breakthrough summer for both
\nhimself and his Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe<\/a> team. Days after the Tour, Lipowitz
\njoined teammates at the Bruckm\u00fchler Cycling Night, a post-Tour tradition where
\nriders meet local fans, this time drawing a crowd of about 5,000. The reception
\nwas loud, local, and fitting for a rider whose stock has soared in recent
\nmonths.<\/p>\n

“On the one hand, of course,
\nit’s nice, but I still have to grow into it a bit,” Lipowitz said in a
\nteam press release. “If I can inspire a few young people for cycling
\nthrough my success, then that’s worth just as much as a podium.”<\/p>\n

His rise over the past year had
\nbeen steady: a seventh-place finish at the 2024 Vuelta, runner-up at
\nParis-Nice, before he experience a true breakout at the Crit\u00e9rium du Dauphin\u00e9,
\nwhere he took third overall and claimed the white jersey. That same form
\ncarried into July, where he managed to hold off veterans and Oscar Onley to
\nbecome the top young rider and finish third in Paris.<\/p>\n

Lipowitz was particularly
\nimpressive on the Hautacam, where he kicked hard in the final section of the
\nclimb, and finished close behind Jonas Vingegaard. It seems he still has the
\nsame form even now he has returned home.<\/p>\n

\u201cLuckily, I still had the legs
\nfrom the Tour and was able to ride to the front again,\u201d Lipowitz said. \u201cI’m
\njust super happy.\u201d His win at Bruckm\u00fchl showed that his Tour form hadn\u2019t faded,
\nand his ability to animate a race from deep in the field remains one of his
\nbest assets. The team\u2019s improved Tour performance in 2025, compared to Red
