According to sources, Charles had been trying to evict his brother from the mansion for the past few months, but was unsuccessful because the younger sibling secured a long-term lease.<\/p>\n<p>King Charles faced a setback while trying to evict Prince Andrew from Royal Lodge, says source<\/p>\n<p>King Charles couldn\u2019t see past the legal setback and ultimately failed to drive his brother, Prince Andrew, out of the Royal Lodge in Windsor. According to Rob Shuter\u2019s exclusive\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/robshuter.substack.com\/p\/exclusive-kelly-clarksons-vegas-bombshell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a>, the monarch has officially lost the battle, which means that the Duke of York will continue staying in the mansion with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The source indicated that it was Charles who \u201ccaved.\u201d They continued, \u201cAndrew refused to leave \u2014 and the King blinked first.\u201d For the past few years, the duke had reportedly been living off of his brother\u2019s personal wealth until the monarch decided to cut off his funding. However, Shuter reports that Andrew managed to secure both a long-term lease as well as a mysterious financial support.<\/p>\n<p>The insider told the outlet that Charles hoped that cutting his brother off financially would eventually make him leave the Royal Lodge. However, Andrew managed to find new money and maintain his residence in the mansion. Stakes allegedly bent further in his favor after Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, gave up on living in the estate.<\/p>\n<p>A former aide said, \u201c[Prince Andrew] outmaneuvered the King. And Charles let it happen.\u201d Meanwhile, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/royal\/2087831\/prince-andrew-king-royal-lodge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Express<\/a> previously reported the Duke of York\u2019s victory over the Royal Lodge.
