Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a> and Prince William<\/strong><\/a> have not been in the same room for about a year, according to various reports.<\/p>\n

Harry and William\u2019s uncle Lord Robert Fellowes<\/strong> died at age 82 in July 2024. It was initially believed that Harry would not be traveling to the U.K. for the funeral service. However, The Sun reported after the August 2024 memorial that both William and Harry were in attendance.<\/p>\n

A family friend confirmed to the publication at the time that they were \u201cvery happy to confirm both princes were there.\u201d The brothers might have both been present, but things seemed frosty between them. A separate insider told The Sun at the time that neither Harry nor William spoke to each other<\/a> and kept some distance between them.<\/p>\n

Things between William and Harry haven\u2019t been great since the Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle<\/strong>, parted ways from the royal family in early 2020 and relocated to California.<\/p>\n

Recent reports have speculated that there is likely some type of reconciliation between Harry and his father<\/a>, King Charles III<\/strong>, in the works. Despite the gestures of good faith within the family, royal expert Kristen Meinzer<\/strong> told Us Weekly exclusively in August 2025 that things between Harry and William are different than any feud with Charles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that Harry\u2019s relationship with his brother is a different beast than his relationship with his father<\/a>,\u201d Meinzer explained. \u201cBut perhaps if Charles warms more to Harry, William will feel compelled to follow his lead.\u201d<\/p>\n

The royal family fallout hit a new high in May 2025 after Harry lost his appeal<\/a> for government-funded security in the U.K. (He and Meghan lost their protection in his home country in 2020.)<\/p>\n

Harry spoke out in a bombshell interview<\/a> with the BBC to discuss the ongoing drama with his family members.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would love reconciliation with my family. There\u2019s no point in continuing to fight anymore,\u201d Harry said, in part, at the time. \u201cLife is precious. I don\u2019t know how much longer my father has.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry\u2019s quote appeared to be in reference to Charles\u2019 ongoing health battle. Charles was diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer in January 2024.<\/p>\n

The same insider speculated that \u201cthe divide will become even wider\u201d when William becomes king.<\/p>\n
