Wrexham were well and truly tested when they took on a relegation-threatened Bristol Rovers on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bristol Rovers had lost six League One fixtures in a row prior to making the trip to the Racecourse Ground<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Phil Parkinson\u2019s<\/a> side, meanwhile, kicked off in Wales in second place with a one-point lead over their closest promotion rivals.<\/p>\n

As a result, it seemed certain that Wrexham would be Bristol Rovers<\/a> with relative ease and keep their charge toward the Championship going.<\/p>\n

However, the Hollywood club went behind in the 32nd minute following a headed goal from a corner.<\/p>\n

Wrexham fans praised Parkinson<\/a> pre-match for his team selection on the day.<\/p>\n

Paul Mullin was left out, but Ryan Barnett and Elliot Lee returned to the side in place of James McClean and George Dobson.<\/p>\n

Matty James pulled a goal back to see Wrexham draw 1-1 with Bristol Rovers<\/a>, a result that hasn\u2019t done much for their promotion hopes.<\/p>\n

Wycombe Wanderers beat Bolton Wanderers 1-0 and have now overtaken the Red Dragons in the table, going into Monday\u2019s games.<\/p>\n

The mood among the Wrexham fans after the match was despondent, and one incident post-match made it clear Parkinson was not happy.<\/p>\n

At every home fixture, and some away matches, the games are covered live on the club\u2019s YouTube channel.<\/p>\n

In this coverage, Parkinson and a Wrexham player are interviewed by the host shortly after full-time.<\/p>\n

However, Friday\u2019s broadcast, which can be seen below, ended without Parkinson or anyone from the team making an appearance despite the host mentioning at one point they \u2018hoped\u2019 to have a chat at some point.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Play-off spot still huge positive for Wrexham<\/p>\n

Wrexham fans hit out after Bristol Rovers<\/a>, and their anger is, of course, understandable.<\/p>\n

They had a six-point lead over Wycombe not long ago and are now chasing down the Chairboys with three games to go.<\/p>\n

With three matches still to play and fourth-place Charlton Athletic up next for Dodds\u2019 men, there is still a good chance the Red Dragons will win automatic promotion.<\/p>\n
