His House<\/a> and The Gorge<\/a> actor \u1e62\u1ecdp\u1eb9\u0301 D\u00ecr\u00eds\u00f9<\/strong> is set to take on an unholy serial killer in Netflix<\/strong> series \u201cAll the Sinners Bleed<\/strong>\u201c, the streamer announced<\/a> this weekend.<\/p>\n

The series is an adaptation of \u00a0S.A. Cosby\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0New York Times bestselling southern noir novel from Joe Robert Cole<\/strong> (Black Panther, \u201cAmerican Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson\u201d).<\/p>\n

D\u00ecr\u00eds\u00f9, the only cast member announced so far, will lead the series as a small town\u2019s first Black sheriff dealing with a faith-based serial killer.<\/p>\n

In the series, \u201cHaunted by his past in the FBI and his devout mother\u2019s untimely death, the first Black sheriff in a small Bible Belt county is tasked with leading the hunt for a serial killer who has quietly been preying on Black communities in southern Virginia for years in the name of God.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cole will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer in addition to directing the first and select episodes. Author S.A. Cosby will also executive produce the nine-episode series along with Higher Ground Productions (aka Barack and Michelle Obama\u2019s production company) and Amblin Entertainment.<\/p>\n

The acclaimed 2023 novel garnered multiple award nominations, including Best Mystery & Thriller in the 2023 Goodreads Choice Awards, and is an International Thriller Writers Award winner.<\/p>\n

D\u00ecr\u00eds\u00f9\u2019s credits also include the hyper-violent series \u201cGangs of London\u201d and Silent Night<\/a>.<\/p>\n
