{"id":318832,"date":"2025-08-05T03:55:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T03:55:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/318832\/"},"modified":"2025-08-05T03:55:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T03:55:11","slug":"extra-17m-unveiled-for-town-and-city-centre-regeneration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/318832\/","title":{"rendered":"Extra \u00a317m Unveiled for Town and City Centre Regeneration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-208195\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Welsh-Communities-to-Receive-17m-Regeneration-Boost.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"360\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Welsh Government has allocated an additional \u00a317 million to help local authorities deliver regeneration projects in town and city centres.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The funding boost increases the Transforming Towns budget for 2025-26 from \u00a340 million to \u00a357 million.<\/p>\n<p>The Cabinet Secretary for Housing and Local Government, Jayne Bryant, announced the funding while visiting exemplar regeneration sites in Wrexham.<\/p>\n<p>Wrexham city centre is currently benefitting from more than \u00a310 million in Transforming Towns funding, with works either delivered or nearing completion. This includes the newly refurbished indoor Butchers\u2019 Market, which received \u00a32.5 million in grant funding from the Welsh Government.
