The Brit made a particular prediction about the Serbian star, which is yet to come true.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"705\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-2224666500-1024x705.jpg\" alt=\"Novak Djokovic of Serbia reacts in a change over against Jannik Sinner of Italy during the Gentlemen's Singles semi-final match on day twelve of The Championships Wimbledon 2025 at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on July 11, 2025 in London, England.\" class=\"wp-image-313500\" \/>Photo by Hannah Peters\/Getty ImagesTim Henman predicted Novak Djokovic would win more major titles<\/p>\n<p>Former British number one <a href=\"https:\/\/tennishead.net\/tag\/tim-henman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tim Henman<\/a> weighed in on Djokovic\u2019s chances of winning another Grand Slam.<\/p>\n<p>The Serbian star had just won an elusive gold medal at the Olympic Games, defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the final 7-6 7-6 on the Paris clay.<\/p>\n<p>However, he has failed to win a Grand Slam since the 2023 <a href=\"https:\/\/tennishead.net\/tag\/us-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">US Open<\/a>; a two-year drought for the 38-year-old.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking exclusively to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/news\/novak-djokovic-retirement-rumours-usopen-tim-henman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tennis365<\/a> at a Vodafone Play Your Way To Wimbledon event in 2024, Henman said: \u201cI just don\u2019t think the way he works means he will think he has won the gold medal and that\u2019s it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"717\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/GettyImages-72260652-1024x717.jpg\" alt=\"Tim Henman of Great Britain in action against Christophe Rochus of Belgium during the ATP Davidoff Swiss Indoors Tournament at St.Jakobshalle on October 25, 2006 in Basel, Switzerland.\" class=\"wp-image-317115\" \/>Photo by Matthew Lewis\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe still has an enormous passion for the game. He loves what he does and if anything, it might go the other way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWinning the Olympics might free him up. He might think he has ticked all the boxes and I am playing with the house\u2019s money now. He might go out and feel no pressure as he looks to win another major at the US Open.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat might be dangerous for the rest because he will play with freedom and while he is fit and healthy, I definitely think he has more major titles in him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Can Novak Djokovic break his own record?<\/p>\n<p>You can never write off Novak Djokovic.<\/p>\n<p>The 24-time major champion has failed to win a Grand Slam for two years. However, he picked up his 100th ATP Tour title in Geneva earlier this season and has reached the semi-final stage at each of the Grand Slam events in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>At 36 years old, Djokovic became the oldest winner of the US Open Men\u2019s Singles title in Open Era history.<\/p>\n<p>The 38-year-old has been prolific on hard courts throughout his career having won 14 of his 24 majors on the surface.<\/p>\n<p>Included in those titles are four US Opens. He has also reached a further six US Open finals during his career.<\/p>\n<p>The looming presence of <a href=\"https:\/\/tennishead.net\/tag\/jannik-sinner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jannik Sinner<\/a> and Carlos Alcaraz will be a concern for the Serbian player. Djokovic has certainly struggled against Sinner in recent times, losing to him in the French Open and Wimbledon semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p>However, Djokovic defeated <a href=\"https:\/\/tennishead.net\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alcaraz<\/a> in the Australian Open quarter-finals, proving he still has the capacity to defeat the very best on the ATP Tour.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tennishead.net\/canadian-open-tournament-director-states-how-carlos-alcaraz-and-novak-djokovics-withdrawal-has-affected-the-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The 38-year-old withdrew from this week\u2019s Canadian Open<\/a>, which could give him ample rest to prepare properly for the Cincinnati Open and US Open.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Novak Djokovic is still searching for an elusive prize.
