\n Representing Great Britain, the team from Burnham Sailing Club took part in the 2025 Sailing Champions League final in Kiel, Germany, from July 11 to 13, finishing 24th out of 33 teams from 14 countries.\n<\/p>\n

\n “We had to fight for every place, but it\u2019s been an incredible experience.\n<\/p>\n
\n “A big shout out to Clarke & Carter for supporting us \u2013 we couldn\u2019t have done it without them.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The Burnham crew of Flynn Davies, Chay Taylor, Niamh Davies, and Ellen Morley finished ahead of fellow British teams from Marconi Sailing Club and the Royal Thames Yacht Club Academy, marking the highest-ever placing by a UK team in the competition.\n<\/p>\n
\n All four sailors started as cadets at Burnham Sailing Club, developing their skills on the River Crouch before progressing through national and international RS Tera and Feva class events.\n<\/p>\n
\n Their journey has brought pride to the Burnham community and put the club on the global sailing map.\n<\/p>\n
\n Tom Sadler, commodore of Burnham Sailing Club, said: “I\u2019m absolutely thrilled with what the team has achieved.\n<\/p>\n
\n “To see our small club not just racing at this level, but finishing as the top UK entry, is something really special.\n<\/p>\n
\n “They\u2019ve done themselves, the club, and the country proud.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It\u2019s been inspiring to watch their journey, and we\u2019re all so excited to see where it takes them next.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The team competed in unpredictable, gusty conditions over three days and secured a third-place finish in one of the final races.\n<\/p>\n
\n Their place at the SCL final was earned through consistent results in the 2024 British Keelboat League.\n<\/p>\n
\n The sailors are now aiming for the 2026 Sailing Champions League, with qualification events starting later this month.\n<\/p>\n
