Mateo Joseph may not kick a ball for Leeds United before the start of next season.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Spain Under-21 international has been missing from the Whites\u2019 recent friendly matches amid reports of an exit from LS11.<\/p>\n Joseph has told Daniel Farke<\/a> he wants to leave the West Yorkshire outfit before the end of August after struggling for regular minutes in the previous campaign.<\/p>\n Real Betis and Girona are interested<\/a> in the 21-year-old, but the Peacocks\u2019 valuation is too much for the Spanish clubs, and the striker could potentially have to make some concessions for the time being if he wants to play.<\/p>\n Joseph may have to knock on Farke\u2019s<\/a> door and accept his mistake if he wants to get back into Leeds\u2019 plans, according to YEP<\/a>.<\/p>\n The news outlet reports (4 August) that the Spanish youngster might not feature against a decent level of opposition before the new season begins unless he \u201coffers a mea culpa\u201d to the German manager at Elland Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n It feels like the 21-year-old has been ill-advised by his representatives to take such drastic measures in LS11 this summer.<\/p>\n The young centre-forward has risked his participation in the West Yorkshire outfit\u2019s senior squad as he trains with the Under-21s at Thorp Arch.<\/p>\n Paraag Marathe rates Joseph highly<\/a> at Leeds, and it would make sense to send him out on loan instead of forcing the striker to train with the youngsters.<\/p>\n The Whites risk lowering the 21-year-old\u2019s valuation by excluding him from the senior team, and it would make sense to send him out on loan at this point.<\/p>\n If interested clubs aren\u2019t willing to pay what the West Yorkshire outfit value the Spanish forward at, a temporary move away feels like the best option.<\/p>\n Joseph\u2019s Championship record last season.<\/p>\n Joseph has dug himself a hole at Leeds<\/a> as Farke doesn\u2019t see the attacker in his plans for now.<\/p>\n Patrick Bamford<\/a> is another number nine the Whites are looking to sell in the coming weeks, which will arguably leave them short on options up front.<\/p>\n The German manager may need to rethink his strategy with Joseph<\/a> once the Premier League season starts if the West Yorkshire outfit don\u2019t invest in signing reinforcements soon.<\/p>\n![\"Leeds](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/mateo-joseph-1024x576.jpg\")
