{"id":319680,"date":"2025-08-05T11:26:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T11:26:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/319680\/"},"modified":"2025-08-05T11:26:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T11:26:11","slug":"georgia-walters-wales-striker-joins-gwalia-united-from-blackburn-rovers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/319680\/","title":{"rendered":"Georgia Walters: Wales striker joins Gwalia United from Blackburn Rovers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Wales forward Georgia Walters has joined Gwalia United from Blackburn Rovers.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 32-year-old former Liverpool striker is the Welsh club&#8217;s fifth signing in preparation for their 2025-26 FA Women&#8217;s National League Southern Premier Division campaign.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Walters, who has five Wales caps, began her career at Swindon Town and has also played for Reading and Tranmere Rovers, as well as two spells with Blackburn &#8211; playing last season in the FA Women&#8217;s Championship, now rebranded as WSL 2.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Each year, the league gets harder and harder, and having experience in higher divisions can become invaluable,&#8221; said Walters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I know a couple of teammates from previous camps.
