Sally Carman-Duttine has garnered plenty of friends throughout her years as Abi Webster in Corrie. But there’s one co-star she tries her best to avoid – her own husband, Joe.<\/p>\n

Sally Carman-Duttine knows how to keep the balance between her work and personal life – by avoiding her husband Joe on the Corrie set.<\/p>\n

The Coronation Street<\/a> star has been a regular face on the ITV<\/a> soap since 2017. So it’s no surprise that she’s garnered plenty of friends since her debut.<\/p>\n

Sally Carman-Duttine<\/a> lists Michael Le Vell<\/a>, who plays on-screen husband Kevin, Jonathan Howard<\/a>, who stars as Carl, and Vicky Myers<\/a>, aka Lisa Swain, as some of her closest friends on the Manchester-based programme.<\/p>\n

But no matter what she is doing at work, Sally admits there’s one co-star she\u2019d rather avoid \u2013 her real-life husband Joe Duttine<\/a>, who portrays cabbie Tim Metcalfe.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe stay away from each other as much as possible,\u201d Sally says. \u201cWe barely have any scenes together which is exactly the way I want it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Next week, it looks like Tyrone may be the one to blow their secret wide open. \u201cAbi\u2019s torn because she loves Kevin very much but she\u2019s massively in lust with Carl,\u201d Sally says.<\/p>\n

\u201cCertainly for Abi, it\u2019s turning into love. She\u2019s completely blinkered right now. Every bit of her is drawn to Carl. She\u2019s so in lust she can\u2019t think straight.\u201d<\/p>\n

In upcoming scenes, Abi throws caution to the wind. She fakes a migraine<\/a> to escape working in the garage with Kevin \u2013 fora daytime meet-up with Carl.<\/p>\n

The pair end up at the precinct, where Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall<\/a>, spots them together. But the biggest threat may be closer to home as Kevin and Carl\u2019s fiery sister Debbie, starts asking questions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a lot going on,\u201d Sally, 50, teases. \u201cDebbie is about to get more involved. There\u2019s a lot of interaction where Debbie wants it out in the open. Abi gets it in the neck more than Kevin or Carl.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"On-screen,On-screen, Abi has embarked on an illicit romance with her brother-in-law Carl, but their secret is on the verge of coming to light<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s not just about who finds out about the affair \u2013 Abi\u2019s marriage is hanging by a fragile thread anyway following Kevin\u2019s lies about his cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s irreversible damage being done,\u201d she says. \u201cWhen it\u2019s revealed that Kevin has been lying about having cancer, it\u2019sa really good excuse for her to jump into bed with Carl.\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time that Abi has played away. Fans will remember her one-night stand with the late Imran Habeeb back in 2022, which led to the dramatic and premature birth of her son Alfie, now three.<\/p>\n

But this time hits differently. \u201cWith Imran, it was self-punishment,\u201d says Sally. \u201cAbi hasn\u2019t had a man pursue her like Carl. She\u2019s addictedto that kind of adrenaline \u2013 she\u2019s hook, line and sinker with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Caught in the crossfire is Kevin\u2019s son Jack (Kyran Bowes). \u201cKevin is not shy to put Jack in the middle of it, whether it\u2019s helpful to him or not,\u201d Sally says. \u201cJack is so confused and hurt. That comes out of anger and there\u2019s a lot of backlash.\u201d<\/p>\n
