{"id":319799,"date":"2025-08-05T12:31:15","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T12:31:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/319799\/"},"modified":"2025-08-05T12:31:15","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T12:31:15","slug":"birmingham-cabbie-remains-in-critical-condition-following-horrific-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/319799\/","title":{"rendered":"BIRMINGHAM CABBIE REMAINS IN CRITICAL CONDITION FOLLOWING HORRIFIC CRASH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Screenshot-2025-08-05-at-10.21.56.png\" style=\"height:auto; width:800px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>A Birmingham cabbie is in a\u00a0critical but stable condition\u00a0after a severe collision that occurred early Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The crash, which involved a Peugeot taxi and a Volkswagen Golf, took place on Icknield Street near the Hockley Tesco Superstore around 3am on August 2.<\/p>\n<p>The taxi driver sustained &#8220;life-threatening injuries&#8221; and was rushed to the hospital where he has been fighting for his life.<\/p>\n<p>In an update on August 4, West Midlands Police confirmed his condition.<\/p>\n<p>A second man, who was a passenger in the Volkswagen Golf, suffered &#8220;life-changing injuries&#8221; in the crash. Another man from the same vehicle was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>West Midlands Police are urging witnesses to come forward with any information.<\/p>\n<p>A force spokesperson stated: &#8220;Witnesses, or anyone with any information, should ring 101 quoting log number 507 of 2 August.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PHTM<\/strong> wishes the cabbie a quick and full recovery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A Birmingham cabbie is in a\u00a0critical but stable condition\u00a0after a severe collision that occurred early Saturday morning.
