England<\/a>‘s Euro<\/a> 2025 winning defender Lucy Bronze<\/a> has been holidaying with friend and final opponent Ona Batlle in the wake of the tournament.<\/p>\n

Bronze was part of Sarina Wiegman<\/a>‘s best side throughout the tournament and played the final with a broken leg<\/a>, and was an crucial part of the side the retained the trophy they won in 2021.<\/p>\n

After the match, she was seen\u00a0consoling close friend Batlle on the field, as both sat to reflect and Batlle mourned her side’s loss in the final.<\/p>\n

Jubilant celebrations saw Chloe Kelly<\/a> and Co flood onto the pitch to begin the party, but Bronze took a moment to escape the hubbub and made a beeline for Batlle.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Inseparable on and off the pitch, the two friends high-fived before sitting down on the pitch, seemingly discussing the pulsating showdown that had played out in Basel.<\/p>\n

Now, the duo appear to be enjoying each other’s company during their breaks before the start of the new women’s season, with Bronze sharing a snap to her Instagram story of drinks that the two had been drinking.<\/p>\n

The former Barcelona team-mates shared photos from Disneyland and at the Eiffel Tower before the competition<\/p>\n

Bronze, 33, shared a photo of what appeared to be two iced coffees, places on a wooden table with napkins and a jar of an unknown substance also visible.<\/p>\n

Once the madness of last month’s final had died down, Bronze, kitted out with her gold winner’s medal around her neck, took a stroll with Batlle, who had changed into her tracksuit.<\/p>\n

The roles were reversed back in 2023 after Spain got the better of England in the World Cup final, when Batlle consoled a tearful Bronze after full-time.<\/p>\n

The duo were all-conquering team-mates in the 2023-24 season when they were at Barcelona, and they struck up a blossoming friendship, too. They also won the Champions League, Liga F, the Spanish Cup and Spanish Super Cup together.<\/p>\n

Bronze then completed a move back to England with Chelsea last summer.<\/p>\n

Bronze, 33, and Batlle, 26, enjoyed a holiday together ahead of Euro 2025 in Spain, sharing photos of the trip across their social media profiles from France – and it wasn’t the first time they had been away together either.<\/p>\n

It appeared the duo were celebrating Batlle’s birthday, with the Spaniard’s caption on Instagram reading: ‘Bday week.’<\/p>\n

One photo shared online showed them enjoying an ice cream in the sun, while another saw them relaxing on a lilo together in the sea. Bronze and Batlle also took a boat trip on their holiday and spent time together in a private pool.<\/p>\n

It was by no means their first trip together – with the pair visiting Disneyland last Christmas<\/p>\n

They were forced to set their friendship aside for the nerve-shredding final, but have been relaxing together again<\/p>\n

Last Christmas, meanwhile, Batlle posted snaps of the two at Disneyland Paris, with the caption: ‘What a magical place’.<\/p>\n

Bronze tends to keep her personal life very private. Hailing from Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland, she was brought up bilingual thanks to her Portuguese father and was exposed to football from a very early age by her older brother, Jorge.\u00a0<\/p>\n
