Everton<\/a> have joined the transfer battle to sign promising Sevilla full-back Juanlu Sanchez, according to TEAMtalk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Toffees are believed to be considering an offer for the 21-year-old right-back, as David Moyes is keen to bring in a new wide defender before the September 1 deadline.<\/p>\n

Everton are on the lookout for a right-back following Ashley Young\u2019s departure on a free transfer last month, as Nathan Patterson has struggled to impress in pre-season, while captain Seamus Coleman is now 36.<\/p>\n

Sevilla are reportedly open to offers for Juanlu this month and are demanding a fee in the region of \u20ac15m<\/a> (\u00a313m).<\/p>\n

Everton are facing late competition from Wolves for Juanlu\u2019s signature, with Vitor Pereira\u2019s side also keen on the Spain U21 international and now said to be \u2018pushing\u2019 for a deal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Juanlu is also attracting interest from Serie A winners Napoli and has reportedly agreed personal terms<\/a>, although club-to-club talks have been ongoing for over a month without a breakthrough.<\/p>\n

The ‘special’<\/a> Spanish defender, who made his Sevilla debut in December 2021, was a regular under boss Matias Almeyda last season, making 35 appearances across all competitions and registering 10 goal contributions.<\/p>\n

He was rewarded with a contract extension in April, tying him to Sevilla until June 2029.<\/p>\n

Everton are now close to confirming Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall\u2019s arrival from Chelsea, having agreed a deal worth around \u00a329m<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Toffees are expected to announce further signings next week and are targeting a right-sided forward<\/a> as their top priority.<\/p>\n\n\n
