{"id":319949,"date":"2025-08-05T13:48:16","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T13:48:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/319949\/"},"modified":"2025-08-05T13:48:16","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T13:48:16","slug":"bristol-van-dwelling-site-cleared-after-10-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/319949\/","title":{"rendered":"Bristol van-dwelling site cleared after 10 years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Councillor Barry Parsons, chair of the homes and housing delivery committee explained there had been an encampment &#8220;of some kind&#8221; on New Stadium Road for more than 10 years, &#8220;but the groups living there have changed several times&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The most recent group to occupy the site has been causing a number of anti-social behaviour issues, with evidence of criminality,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The council said it was working with Bristol Waste to remove large amounts of rubbish and fly-tipped materials around the site.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Mr Parsons added: &#8220;Individuals have been signposted to support services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;When our contractors visited the site last week they were threatened and had a bottle thrown at their truck.
