In the European Union, energy prices rose by 2.4 percent month-on-month for the sixth month of the year, after falling by 2.3 percent in May.\n<\/p>\n<p>Excluding energy prices, industrial producer prices fell by 0.1 percent in the euro area on a monthly basis and rose by 0.1 percent in the EU.\n<\/p>\n<p>Over the year since June 2024, euro area producer prices rose by 0.6 percent, compared with the 0.5 percent expected by analysts, following a 0.3 percent increase in the previous month. Energy prices fell by 0.1 percent in the euro area after a 1.5 percent annual decline in the previous month.\n<\/p>\n<p>In the EU, producer prices rose by 0.6 percent year-on-year in June, after a 0.4 percent increase in the previous month.
