The legend of the Kraken comes to the screen in the upcoming Norwegian monster movie\u00a0Kraken<\/strong>, and two teaser trailers promoting the Norwegian release have been unleashed.<\/p>\n

The film releases in cinemas in Norway in October and has been picked up by Samuel Goldwyn for United States distribution. Stay tuned for more on the U.S. release as we learn it.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the synopsis for director P\u00e5l \u00d8ie\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0(The Tunnel) movie: \u201cA marine biologist encounters several strange occurrences while researching a fjord, including the brutal deaths of two local teenagers. At the bottom of Norway\u2019s deepest fjord rests a mythical monster as large as a mountain, with a myriad of arms ready to crush and devour anything they can grab.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sara Khorami, Mikkel Bratt Silset, Ingvild Holthe Bygdnes, Steinar Klouman Hallert <\/strong>and Jenny Evensen<\/strong> star. Vilde Eide<\/strong> wrote the screenplay for the upcoming movie.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s interesting to note that a Russian monster movie titled Kraken is also on the way, dealing with the very same subject matter. You can watch the trailer for the Russian movie here.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
