\n Bristol City have completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Vera Jones on a season-long loan deal.<\/p>\n

The Robins announced the news via a post on their official club website<\/a> this evening.<\/p>\n

The 17-year-old joined Chelsea\u2019s Professional Game Academy League side last summer. She signed her first professional contract with the club back in February. The Cardiff-born midfielder has been on the fringes of the first team squad, although she is yet to make her senior debut for The Blues. Jones found herself named as Chelsea substitute for a fixture last season but she remained unused.<\/p>\n

On the international stage, Jones has represented England at Under-17 level and she will be looking to push for further international honours in the coming years.<\/p>\n

After signing on loan at Bristol City, Jones said \u201cI am very grateful to be at such a special club and in a real football city.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ambitions at the club were very appealing to me and I want to do everything I can to help us reach those goals.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jones is Bristol City\u2019s fifth signing of the summer transfer window. The Robins have also announced the additions of Emily Mutch, Gemma Lawley, Maria Farrugia and Rio Hardy during the close season.<\/p>\n
