Just a few weeks into the school holidays<\/a> and most people’s bank balances are already feeling it.<\/p>\n With the cost of living continuing to hit families hard, many will be finding it tricky to keep the kids entertained.<\/p>\n But there’s one place that’s being praised for offering a value for money day out and that’s the fairground at Heaton Park<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Holiday At Home Fun Park is open across the summer and includes rides, inflatables, bungee trampolines and more.<\/p>\n Entry is free and it costs \u00a325 for 25 tokens, but it’s the unlimited ride wristbands that are impressing parents the most.<\/p>\n For the best ideas on days out, shopping and parenting issues, get the Manchester Family newsletter here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n They are available every Tuesday and Wednesday and mean that for a three-hour slot, your child can go on unlimited rides for \u00a312.99.<\/p>\n If you visit this week, August 6 is also National Play Day so there will be lots of free activities running at the park too<\/a>.<\/p>\n Commenting on the Manchester Evening News Facebook page, one mum said: “We are going Heaton Park on Wednesday as they do unlimited wristbands. Take own picnic and with an ice cream and tram tickets for me and two kids we will spend less than \u00a340 for a full day out.”<\/p>\n Another said: “Heaton Park is a great option for the holidays, especially with the unlimited rides on certain days.”<\/p>\n The fair is open daily with three sessions from noon to 3pm, 2pm to 5pm and 4pm to 7pm.<\/p>\n There are regular character appearances and other children’s entertainment, with smaller family rides and giant rides for kids of all ages.
