{"id":321539,"date":"2025-08-06T04:00:21","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T04:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/321539\/"},"modified":"2025-08-06T04:00:21","modified_gmt":"2025-08-06T04:00:21","slug":"lufthansa-decides-against-stake-in-air-europa-reuters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/321539\/","title":{"rendered":"Lufthansa decides against stake in Air Europa: Reuters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lufthansa Group has walked away from talks to buy a stake in the Spanish airline Air Europa, according to Reuters.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The decision comes just days after Air France-KLM made a similar decision to end any further negotiations regarding an investment in the airlines.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter thorough analysis and intensive negotiations, we have decided against taking a stake in Air Europa at this time,\u201d a spokesperson for Lufthansa told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/europe\/lufthansa-abandons-process-buy-stake-spains-air-europa-2025-08-05\/\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Hidalgo family, though their Globalia travel consortium, are currently the largest stakeholder (80%) of Air Europa\u2019s shares.
