\n The 17-year-old from Great Sankey was part of the Great Britain team that competed at the Coupe de la Jeunesse \u2013 a prestigious junior regatta \u2013 in Austria having been selected for the women\u2019s junior double sculls alongside Amy Clarke.\n<\/p>\n
\n Saturday\u2019s racing was played out in torrential rain in Linz, with Brittles and Clarke taking bronze behind the Czech Republic and Italy.\n<\/p>\n
\n However, Sunday presented better conditions and more speed for the GB boat to push the Czech crew all the way but just missing out on gold, instead taking an excellent silver.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u00a0\u201cI still can\u2019t quite believe that we won silver today \u2013 I\u2019m very pleased,\u201d Brittles said after Sunday\u2019s race.\n<\/p>\n
