{"id":322160,"date":"2025-08-06T09:37:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T09:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/322160\/"},"modified":"2025-08-06T09:37:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-06T09:37:10","slug":"girl-3-allegedly-murdered-by-her-mother-pictured-uk-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/322160\/","title":{"rendered":"Girl, 3, allegedly murdered by her mother pictured | UK News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A three-year-old girl who was allegedly murdered by her mother has been pictured for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Hope McGrath&#8217;s body was found by police at an address in Leeds on 30 July.<\/p>\n<p>Her mother, Pippa McGrath, 47, has been charged with murder.<\/p>\n<p>She was arrested after concerns were raised about the safety of a child.<\/p>\n<p>West Yorkshire Police attended an address in Austhorpe Court and found the body of a child, later identified as Hope McGrath.<\/p>\n<p>    <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/download-app\" target=\"blank\" data-tracking-label=\"ui-app-promo-download-link\" class=\"ui-app-promo sdc-article-widget\" data-type=\"\" data-component-name=\"ui-app-promo\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/p>\n<p>    <\/a><\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, McGrath appeared at Leeds Crown Court on a video link from prison, where she spoke only to confirm her name and date of birth.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Guy Kearl KC, the Recorder of Leeds, said a post-mortem examination on Hope was due to take place on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The court heard psychiatric reports would be prepared to establish McGrath&#8217;s fitness to plead.<\/p>\n<p>A date of 24 February was set for the trial, which is expected to take up to two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>McGrath was remanded in custody until her next appearance at the same court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 3 September.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A three-year-old girl who was allegedly murdered by her mother has been pictured for the first time.
