Leeds United loanee Maximilian W\u00f6ber has picked up an injury during first-team training with his new club Werder Bremen.<\/p>\n

After colliding with Patrice Covic, W\u00f6ber went down holding his right knee, required \u2018extensive treatment\u2019, and his session ended after the incident.<\/p>\n

BILD Bremen<\/a> go with a headline stating \u2018The Knee Again\u2019, and report panic around the 27-year-old, given he underwent two surgeries on his right knee whilst at Leeds United last season.<\/p>\n

Whilst there\u2019s no full medical report on the situation yet, that panic may be a little over the top as Bild don\u2019t think, but don\u2019t rule out, it will be a long term absence. That said, there\u2019s the possibility of a spell on the sidelines and his situation should become clearer today or tomorrow.<\/p>\n

W\u00f6ber suffered a medial ligament tear in his right knee in April 2018. A year after this incident, the Austrian international suffered a meniscus tear.<\/p>\n

Due to his knee surgery last season, W\u00f6ber only made nine appearances for Leeds United. The situation made it difficult for the Yorkshire club to get the fee they wanted this summer, which is why he\u2019s ended up at Werder Bremen on loan.<\/p>\n

Another knee issue, even mild, is therefore a worry.<\/p>\n
