{"id":322391,"date":"2025-08-06T11:38:17","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T11:38:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/322391\/"},"modified":"2025-08-06T11:38:17","modified_gmt":"2025-08-06T11:38:17","slug":"liam-williams-wales-full-back-trains-with-old-club-cardiff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/322391\/","title":{"rendered":"Liam Williams: Wales full-back trains with old club Cardiff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Wales full-back Liam Williams is training with former club Cardiff as he bids to prove his fitness and prolong his career.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Williams, 34, left Saracens at the end of the 2024-25 campaign and has not played since suffering a knee injury in Wales&#8217; defeat by France in their opening Six Nations defeat in January.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The British and Irish Lion, who spent the 2022-23 season with Cardiff, has returned to the Arms Park on a temporary basis to take part in the first team squad&#8217;s pre-season training.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Williams is currently without a club and is looking for his next move after spending time with Kubota Spears and Saracens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">There is no indication currently he will be returning to the Arms Park.
