The new tyres are smaller and narrower as part of the world championship\u2019s new technical rules.<\/p>\n<p>Three 2025-spec cars were on track yesterday in Mogyorod \u2013 provided by Alpine, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/team\/mclaren\/10\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McLaren<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/team\/racing-bulls-12\/12\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Racing Bulls<\/a> \u2013 with Alpine still in action today alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/team\/ferrari\/3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ferrari<\/a>. Track time is usually spread among teams that volunteer to perform the tests.<\/p>\n<p>However, Colapinto crashed this morning at the Turn 11 right-hander, one of the faster curves at this circuit. The Argentinian was uninjured.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring Day 2 of Pirelli Tyre Testing at the Hungaroring this morning, Franco Colapinto had an incident at Turn 11. Franco was assessed on site at the medical centre and is OK,\u201d an Alpine spokesperson has stated.<\/p>\n<p>   <img decoding=\"async\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/1754481312_221_franco-colapinto-alpine.jpg\" alt=\"Franco Colapinto, Alpine\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> <\/p>\n<p class=\"title\">Franco Colapinto, Alpine<\/p>\n<p class=\"photographer\">Photo by: Sam Bagnall \/ Sutton Images via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>This is particularly bad news for Colapinto, who is yet to finish a grand prix inside the top 12 this season, while team-mate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/driver\/pierre-gasly\/19626\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pierre Gasly<\/a> \u2013 who is also due to drive the Alpine today \u2013 has collected 13 points in the same period, to add to his seven points from the first six rounds when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/driver\/jack-doohan\/454760\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jack Doohan<\/a> was his team-mate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsport.com\/f1\/news\/f1-2025-qualifying-hungarian-gp\/10747630\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colapinto has been outqualified by Gasly 7-2 so far<\/a>, having crashed twice in qualifying.
