And AC Milan<\/a> remain interested in the Denmark<\/a> international, who signed from Atalanta<\/a> in 2023 for \u20ac74m plus \u20ac10m in add-ons but has scored just 11 goals in 58 appearances since.<\/p>\n

Elliott is an outstanding talent. At just 22, he has already made close to 150 Liverpool appearances and has enjoyed a number of memorable moments in a red shirt.<\/p>\n

He’s also a boyhood Liverpool fan and has spoken numerous times before about his desire to remain at Anfield for the entirety of his career. However, over the past few months, there has been a clear shift in Elliott’s thinking, with the player having acknowledged that leaving the club could be the best thing for him.<\/p>\n

With game-time limited last season and more competition having arrived this summer in the shape of Florian Wirtz, Elliott seemingly feels now could be the right time to move on. Leipzig certainly makes sense as a destination and the England midfielder — who was named Player of the Tournament at this summer’s Under-21 European Championship — has all the credentials to flourish outside of the physicality of the Premier League.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
