Son, removed the doors from the bin store.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  As a result, he has to suffer from the \u201cstench\u201d of uncollected rubbish under his flat, as well as the flies attracted by the smell.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"The bins pictured on July 29, 2025\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>The bins pictured on July 29, 2025 (Image: Charles Amos)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Charles\u00a0claims that despite numerous complaints to the managing agents, no meaningful action has been taken to resolve the problem.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cEver since the doors to the bin store were removed, it has been a complete dumping area,\u201d he said.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThere are no boundaries to the bins anymore, so they get filled and overflow \u2013 it\u2019s just an invitation for anyone to dump anything.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cIt\u2019s a weekly occurrence, but my words fall on deaf ears.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  He added that when the managing agents have organised for the waste to be removed, it has been put onto his service charge.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cI feel that is absolutely unacceptable,\u201d he said. \u201cI am not responsible for that excess waste which is a direct result of them\u00a0removing the doors from the bin store.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"Sofas and mattresses are among the items that have been dumped outside the block\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>Sofas and mattresses are among the items that have been dumped outside the block (Image: Charles Amos)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  But J Nicholson &amp; Son has claimed that removing the doors from the bin store is among \u201cseveral improvements\u201d it has made to waste management at the block.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  They added that despite also adding ramps and new bins, fly-tipping \u201cremains a persistent issue\u201d.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Havering Labour councillor Jane Keane has now said she has directly intervened in the case, after a sofa was dumped outside the block last month.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  She said that she had contacted Havering Council, bypassing its case tracking system to raise her concerns directly about the ongoing fly-tipping.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cIt is a dismal state of affairs when neighbours and a councillor are reduced to making weekly phone calls and site visits to deal with one issue already known to the [managing agents],\u201d she said.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cI am not convinced either of the virtue of the council\u2019s new case tracker system which defines what the council will get involved in really narrowly.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  J Nicholson &amp; Son has also criticised the council, claiming it does not\u00a0provide support for clearing items or investigating those responsible for the fly-tipping.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A spokesperson for Havering Council said: \u201cWe encourage residents to report issues directly to us via our easy-to-use customer service and enquiry website pages, which means the reports are logged on to our system and reach the relevant service teams directly.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cHowever, the council&#8217;s reporting system only covers fly-tipping on the public highway, not on private property.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cAs the reported location at Princes Road is private property, we can only continue to work with the managing agents who are responsible for investigating and clearing fly-tipped items on behalf of the residents who live there.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  They added that the council has been \u201csuccessful\u201d in prosecuting the fly-tippers it has caught.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"Mr Amos has said that problems include an ongoing stench and flies\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>Charles has said that problems include an ongoing stench and flies (Image: Charles Amos)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  J Nicholson &amp;
