Tourists heading to a well-known Spanish destination<\/a> face potential fines reaching \u20ac500 for specific behaviours, according to warning notices displayed throughout the area.<\/p>\n A campaign across parts of Mallorca highlights penalties for breaches of “respect”.<\/p>\n Warning notices positioned along various roads in Calvia\u0300 display the alerts in both English and Spanish.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Date confirmed for new travel rules for UK travellers going to Spain, Greece and Italy<\/a>READ MORE: Spain travel warning for Ryanair passengers as strikes set to hit 12 airports<\/a><\/p>\n The steepest penalty, \u20ac500, applies to consuming alcohol on public streets, whilst “shouting, fighting or bothering people” could result in people receiving a \u20ac400 fine, as can nudity or partial-nudity away from the beach.<\/p>\n The notices display the hashtag #havefunwithrespect, or #divie\u0301rteteconrespeto in Spanish, reports the Liverpool Echo<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Dirtying the street” also carries a \u20ac200 fine, with the signs positioned throughout Punta Ballena in Magaluf, with others on Ramon de Montcada in Santa Ponsa.<\/p>\n While these sanctions relate to these areas in particular, travellers<\/a> to other Spanish destinations should familiarise themselves with other rules before setting off. For example, local laws limit the sale of alcohol in some resorts, such as Magaluf, Playa de Palma, and San Antonio.<\/p>\n The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) additionally cautions that hotels “will evict you if you behave dangerously on balconies”, potentially resulting in financial penalties too.<\/p>\n FCDO guidance for Spain states: “In some parts of Spain it’s illegal to be in the street wearing only a bikini or swimming shorts.<\/p>\n “Being bare-chested is also illegal in some areas in Spain. You could be fined if you’re caught wearing swimwear on the seafront promenade or adjacent streets.”<\/p>\n And tourists are being warned over flying drones in Spain after a holidaymaker had theirs seized, with the case handed over to Spain’s State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) for administrative proceedings.
