As far as Daniel Farke is concerned, Leeds United\u2019s<\/a> investment into out-and-out midfield options has been complete, but it doesn\u2019t stop speculation linking them with key signings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds\u2019 squad for the 25\/26 Premier League campaign is far from complete regarding new signings, but Daniel Farke has already addressed the spine of the squad quite well with a goalkeeper, defenders and midfielders signed.<\/p>\n

Adding goals to the side is the next priority for Farke, targeting wingers and a striker, hopefully before the side kicks off their survival bid against Everton.<\/p>\n

The Championship season gets underway in just 48 hours, and Brownhill has a lucrative offer to return to the second tier, as the same report from above names Leicester City, who have given the midfielder a chance to sign a lengthy contract.<\/p>\n

However, Brownhill remains without a club despite his best season in front of goal as captain of a side that collected 100 points in the Championship, breaking numerous defensive records as a result.<\/p>\n

His patience for a move to a side playing top flight football might see his situation drag on further into August, or he could decide to settle for a healthy contract in the Championship with Leicester.<\/p>\n

Should Leeds United sign Josh Brownhill for free?<\/p>\n

There are very few free agents still available that have come into this summer in better form than Brownhill, so you could see the logic behind Leeds fans wanting him.<\/p>\n

However, would he be a viable signing for us right now as we look to improve for the Premier League? For me, I\u2019d personally lean towards no.<\/p>\n

Whenever a player remains a free agent beyond pre-season, you have to ask why they are still without a club \u2013 for Brownhill, it\u2019s certainly not performance-related as he was great for Burnley, so it must be his demands.<\/p>\n

Leeds need a standout improvement in the 10 position, and Brownhill, as effective as he was in front of goal in the Championship, wouldn\u2019t be a marked improvement on what we have now, on top of seemingly having contract demands far exceeding what he\u2019d be worth to us.<\/p>\n
