{"id":324079,"date":"2025-08-07T02:32:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T02:32:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/324079\/"},"modified":"2025-08-07T02:32:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T02:32:09","slug":"opposition-to-radiology-plan-grows-in-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/324079\/","title":{"rendered":"Opposition to radiology plan grows in France"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>France\u2019s Conseil National Professionnel (CNP) de radiologie et imagerie m\u00e9dicale (national professional council of radiology and medical imaging) &#8212; also known as the G4 &#8212; has voiced its opposition to the report from the IGAS (general inspectorate of social affairs) and the IGS (general inspectorate of finance), which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.auntminnieeurope.com\/clinical-news\/ct\/article\/15751127\/strategic-plan-for-radiology-leads-to-strong-protests-in-france\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">drew protests from French radiologists<\/a> in July.<\/p>\n<p>The G4 comprises the four French radiological associations (FNMR, CERF, SFR, and SRH). In a statement signed by the presidents of all four associations, along with the president of the CNP\/G4, the G4 says that the report is \u201cunanimously rejected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The council said it will provide more comments in the coming weeks on specific findings, data, and recommendations. However, it said the new strategic plan poses a threat to access, quality, and safety of radiology care. It shows a lack of understanding of the radiology profession and its place in the French healthcare system, the group added.<\/p>\n<p>In its statement, the G4 emphasized the need for updated, high-performance radiology equipment &#8212; a need extending to diagnostic AI.
