Meghan Markle\u2019s<\/a> 44th birthday came with deafening silence from some of her closest former allies, sparking speculation her Hollywood<\/a> dreams may be fading fast. The Duchess of Sussex, who turned 44 on Monday, August 4, was notably snubbed by A-list celebrities and senior members of the royal family \u2014 a sharp contrast to the flood of birthday love she once received. Meghan also now faces accusations of writing her own gushing birthday tribute through her lifestyle brand As Ever<\/a>. The brand\u2019s Instagram<\/a> post read: \u201cCelebrating the woman behind it all.<\/p>\n

“She pours her heart, vision & magic touch into every detail, and today, we raise a glass to her! Happy birthday to our founder @meghan.\u201d The tone of the message raised eyebrows among fans, with one royal commentator posting: \u201cNo one should be surprised that Meghan praised herself & wished herself a happy birthday.\u201d Another added: \u201c\u2018She pours her heart\u2026\u2019 Girl, you poured it into your own keyboard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meghan, who was once publicly supported by the likes of Beyonc\u00e9 and Tyler Perry, now appears to be losing her grip on Hollywood<\/a>\u2019s inner circle \u2014 with even her most loyal backers keeping quiet this year.<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9<\/a> famously sent birthday wishes in August 2020, posting on her website, \u201cHappy Birthday Meghan Markle<\/a>,\u201d alongside a childhood photo of the duchess.<\/p>\n

The two first met at the London premiere of The Lion King in 2019, where Meghan and Prince Harry<\/a> appeared in an official royal capacity.<\/p>\n

Their friendship was seemingly intact in 2022 when Meghan revealed in Netflix<\/a>\u2019s Harry & Meghan docuseries that she received a private text from the singer.<\/p>\n

Meghan said Beyonc\u00e9 was \u201cjust checking in\u201d and wanted to make sure she felt \u201csafe and protected,\u201d and added that the singer had told her how much she \u201cadmired and respected\u201d her.<\/p>\n

Meghan and Harry<\/a> even returned the favour, attending Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s Renaissance tour in 2023 and her Cowboy Carter tour stop in LA earlier this year. But on Meghan\u2019s big day this week, it was total silence.<\/p>\n

Even more surprising was the lack of acknowledgement from Tyler Perry, the man who once referred to Meghan as \u201cprincess\u201d in an emotional Instagram<\/a> tribute and is godfather to her daughter, Princess Lilibet.<\/p>\n

Back in 2022, Perry gushed: \u201cI\u2019ve had a front row seat in your life for the past few years. I\u2019ve watched you endure things that would have broken a lot of people.<\/p>\n

“I’m so incredibly proud to see how happy you, your husband, and your kids are now. It fills me with joy to say Happy Birthday, Princess Meghan.\u201d This year, however, not a word \u2014 despite the mogul being active on Instagram<\/a> that day.<\/p>\n

And the royal family remained silent, too. In previous years, Prince William<\/a> and Princess Kate Middleton had posted birthday messages, as had King Charles III and Queen Camilla. But in 2025, not a single official message was shared.<\/p>\n

The backlash couldn\u2019t come at a worse time for Meghan.
