Leeds United transfer rumours latest, including updates on Ritsu Doan, Mateo Joseph, and Bilal El Khannouss.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The transfer window has around four weeks remaining<\/a> for the 49ers and Leeds United<\/a>, who are continuing to look for players in the market as more serious transfer news<\/a> emerges to add to their seven summer signings.<\/p>\n

A busy end to the summer still lies ahead at Leeds as Daniel Farke looks to improve<\/a> several areas of the side, with the Leeds squad<\/a> getting closer to completion and feeling more ready ahead of the club\u2019s return to the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lukas Nmecha<\/a>, Jaka Bijol<\/a>, Sebastiaan Bornauw<\/a>, Gabriel Gudmundsson<\/a>, Sean Longstaff<\/a>, Anton Stach<\/a>, and Lucas Perri<\/a> have all bolstered Leeds\u2019 ranks in recent months, meaning they are making plenty of progress but more are still set to follow.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, with vital weeks ahead for the recruitment team and with Farke\u2019s team in pre-season<\/a> ahead of Everton visiting Elland Road, here we have taken a look at some of the latest transfer news and the biggest headlines coming out of the club.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks,\u00a0Leeds United News<\/strong>\u00a0exclusively revealed that\u00a0Mateo Joseph is keen on a return to Spain<\/a>. That was before Farke confirmed Joseph is not in his plans<\/a>\u00a0following the Villarreal pre-season draw on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Celta Vigo have also joined the Joseph race<\/a>\u00a0of late, but there has been\u00a0serious interest in Joseph from Real Betis<\/a>\u00a0for quite some time now. The La Liga duo appeared to be the likeliest destinations for Joseph.<\/p>\n

However,\u00a0Graham Smyth said a loan for Joseph was most likely<\/a>\u00a0to be the outcome and a different La Liga side seem to have won the race as RCD Espanyol are the team closing in on Joseph<\/a> on a straight loan deal with no buy option or obligation.<\/p>\n

Ritsu Doan disappointment emerges for Leeds United<\/p>\n

Smyth has explained ambitious \u2018reach\u2019 signings<\/a>\u00a0are still a part of the club\u2019s\u00a0transfer strategy, as the 49ers are now\u00a0targeting forwards to end the transfer window<\/a>. However, they have already missed out on some targets.<\/p>\n

Igor Paixao is one but one other player Leeds have missed out is SC Freiburg\u2019s Ritsu Doan. We\u00a0suggested that Doan be someone Leeds consider<\/a>\u00a0last month, given his ability to operate as a No.10 or out wide on the right as a left-footed and inverted winger.<\/p>\n

The Japanese international playmaker is\u00a0a teammate of Ao Tanaka\u2019s<\/a>. Smyth now claims Leeds have missed out on Doan<\/a> this summer in his newsletter. Champions League interest from Eintracht Frankfurt was too much for Leeds to compete with.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s already been claimed that Bilal El Khannouss\u2019 wage demands will not be an issue for Leeds<\/a>. That was before it was said\u00a0Leeds held a meeting with El Khannouss\u2019 camp<\/a>\u00a0last week.<\/p>\n

The other club with the strongest interest in the player appears to be\u00a0Crystal Palace who like El Khannouss<\/a>\u00a0and see him as a potential Eberechi Eze replacement. However, Leeds are not at a disadvantage for El Khannouss<\/a> against Palace.<\/p>\n

That is in spite of their involvement in European competition this forthcoming season.
