All passengers must check flight details with their airlines and follow advice issued by them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe understand the frustration and apologise for the disruption this has caused.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur teams have worked as quickly as possible, in line with strict protocols, which must be followed to ensure a safe reopening of the runway following a prolonged closure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Several flights out of Birmingham Airport remain disrupted today. \u00a0A TUI flight to Kefalonia was delayed by nearly four hours, with another TUI service to Lanzarote facing a three-and-a-half-hour delay.<\/p>\n<p>Jet2 flights to Venice and Lanzarote were both delayed by an hour earlier today, with a Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt delayed by three and a half hours. KLM cancelled its 6am service to Amsterdam.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Earlier arrivals into Birmingham also faced delays, with a TUI service from Dalaman landing three hours after its scheduled arrival time.<\/p>\n<p>The incident involved a\u00a0Beech B200 Super King Air, a light aircraft. The aircraft was heading to Belfast with three people onboard when it experienced issues with its landing gear.
