A section of the South West Coast Path has been named Britain’s Favourite Path 2025.<\/p>\n
The stretch between Bude and Westward Ho! on the Hartland Peninsula won the title after a month-long public vote organised by the Ramblers.<\/p>\n
Jonathan Jones, who nominated the winning path, said: “I first visited the path 15 years ago and it left a lasting impression.<\/p>\n
“It was during a time of my life when things were changing a lot.<\/p>\n
“Walking this path gave me a clarity of mind.”<\/p>\n
The path is part of the 630-mile South West Coast Path, which is England\u2019s longest national trail.<\/p>\n
Rachel Mulrenan, campaigns manager at the Ramblers, said: “So many entrants in this year’s competition highlighted the physical and mental health benefits of getting outside and walking in nature.”<\/p>\n
The competition was organised by the Ramblers with the support of Cotswold Outdoor.<\/p>\n
The winner, Jonathan Jones, will receive \u00a3200 worth of Cotswold Outdoor vouchers, while the seven fellow finalists will each receive a \u00a350 voucher.<\/p>\n
Now in its second year, Britain\u2019s Favourite Path was launched by the Ramblers to celebrate the importance, beauty and diversity of the nation\u2019s paths.<\/p>\n
