{"id":324966,"date":"2025-08-07T10:42:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T10:42:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/324966\/"},"modified":"2025-08-07T10:42:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T10:42:10","slug":"watch-spacexs-crew-10-astronauts-head-home-to-earth-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/324966\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch SpaceX&#8217;s Crew-10 astronauts head home to Earth today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SpaceX&#8217;s Crew-10 astronauts will head home to Earth today (Aug. 7), and you can watch the action live.<\/p>\n<p>The Crew-10 quartet&#8217;s Crew Dragon capsule, named Endurance, is scheduled to undock from the <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/16748-international-space-station.html\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/16748-international-space-station.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Space Station<\/a> (ISS) today at 12:05 p.m. EDT (1605 GMT) and splash down 24 hours later.<\/p>\n<p>You can watch it all live <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/plus.nasa.gov\/scheduled-video\/nasas-spacex-crew-10-undocking\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/plus.nasa.gov\/scheduled-video\/nasas-spacex-crew-10-undocking\/\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" rel=\"noopener\">via NASA<\/a>. Space.com will carry the feed as well, if the agency makes it available.<\/p>\n<p>You may like<\/p>\n<p>NASA&#8217;s stream will start at 9:45 a.m. EDT (1345 GMT) to cover the closing of the hatches between <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/spacex-crew-dragon-capsule-named-endurance\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/spacex-crew-dragon-capsule-named-endurance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Endurance<\/a> and the ISS, which is expected to occur at 10:20 a.m. EDT (1420 GMT).<\/p>\n<p>Coverage will resume at 11:45 a.m. EDT (1545 GMT), 20 minutes before undocking. There will then be a lengthy break, with the webcast picking up again on Friday (Aug. 8) at 10:45 a.m. EDT (1445 GMT) for reentry and splashdown activities.<\/p>\n<p>Splashdown is expected on Friday at 11:58 a.m. EDT (1558 GMT), in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California. NASA will also hold a post-landing press conference on Friday at 1:30 p.m. EDT (1730 GMT), if all goes to plan.<\/p>\n<p>None of this is set in stone, however; the departure date could be pushed back if bad weather crops up in the splashdown zone.<\/p>\n<p class=\"newsletter-form__strapline\">Breaking space news, the latest updates on rocket launches, skywatching events and more!<\/p>\n<p><a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/space-exploration\/international-space-station\/spacex-launches-relief-crew-for-nasas-beleaguered-starliner-astronauts-on-iss-video\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/space-exploration\/international-space-station\/spacex-launches-relief-crew-for-nasas-beleaguered-starliner-astronauts-on-iss-video\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Crew-10 launched<\/a> on March 14 atop a <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/18853-spacex.html\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/18853-spacex.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SpaceX<\/a> Falcon 9 rocket and arrived at the ISS two days later. The mission consists of NASA&#8217;s Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, Takuya Onishi of <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/22672-japan-aerospace-exploration-agency.html\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/22672-japan-aerospace-exploration-agency.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JAXA<\/a> (the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) and Kirill Peskov of Russia&#8217;s space agency, <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/22724-roscosmos.html\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/22724-roscosmos.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roscosmos<\/a>.
