{"id":325307,"date":"2025-08-07T13:38:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T13:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/325307\/"},"modified":"2025-08-07T13:38:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T13:38:10","slug":"it-welcome-to-derry-mcfarlane-toys-figures-unveil-new-pennywise-design","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/325307\/","title":{"rendered":"IT: WELCOME TO DERRY McFarlane Toys Figures Unveil &#8220;New&#8221; Pennywise Design"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The trailers and promos we&#8217;ve seen for<strong> IT: Welcome to Derry<\/strong> so far have mostly kept Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd&#8217;s returning Pennywise under wraps, but the demonic child-killing clown has now been unveiled via two Movie Maniacs McFarlane Toys action figures, and it seems HBO Max has taken an if it ain&#8217;t broke, don&#8217;t fix it approach to the character design.<\/p>\n<p>As you&#8217;ll see from the photos below, the standard figure looks pretty much exactly like Pennywise from the <strong>IT <\/strong>movies, although the &#8220;flashback&#8221; variant does have a brighter clown suit, and what appears to be an ill-fitting headpiece. Andy will also direct multiple instalments of the series, including the first episode.<\/p>\n<p>Specific plot details are still under wraps, but the show is expected to serve as a prequel story that will \u201cexpand the vision\u201d of the recent movies. We know that Pennywise terrorised the town of Derry prior to the events of King&#8217;s story, so the Muschiettis have plenty\u00a0of room to manoeuvre here. Will the creature only appear as the Dancing Clown, or will we see him take other forms?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>\u201cAs teenagers, we took turns reading chapters of Stephen King\u2019s It until the thick paperback fell to pieces,\u201d <\/strong>the\u00a0Muschiettis said in a statement when the project was first announced. <strong>\u201cIt is an epic story that contains multitudes, far beyond what we could explore in our It movies.
