Daniel Farke is aiming to add multiple new players to his Leeds United squad before the summer transfer window closes on 1 September.<\/strong><\/p>\n That is according to former Man United and Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider<\/strong> that work is ongoing behind the scenes to add Premier League quality to the squad.<\/p>\n The Whites have completed seven new signings this summer with a total spend of \u00a374million, but are showing no signs of slowing down.<\/p>\n This comes after Football Insider<\/strong> revealed on 14 July that Leeds want a new right-back and midfielder<\/a>, having landed Lucas Perri as their new first-choice goalkeeper.<\/p>\n A new striker is also believed to be on Farke\u2019s radar despite having signed Lukas Nmecha to add to the squad alongside last season\u2019s Championship top goalkeeper Joel Piroe.<\/p>\n Following their promotion to the Premier League<\/a>, there is an acceptance at Elland Road that spending big will give them the best chance at avoiding the drop.<\/p>\n Leeds target Josh Brownhill as late-window frenzy INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n Brown told Football Insider<\/strong> on 4 August that Leeds have joined the race for Josh Brownhill<\/a> and are aiming to beat both West Ham and Celtic to his signature.<\/p>\n The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that Farke is aiming to land targets with Premier League experience.<\/p>\n \u201cFrom what I hear, Josh Brownhill is on Leeds\u2019 radar,\u201d he told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s exactly the sort of player I think they need at the moment, the type of player the manager wants.<\/p>\n \u201cThey want to add Premier League experience to the team and Brownhill has plenty of that.<\/p>\n \u201cBut he\u2019s not the only one they\u2019re after because even though they\u2019ve been busy in the transfer market, I don\u2019t think they\u2019ve added enough top-level talent.<\/p>\n \u201cThe feeling at Leeds has been that if they want to compete in the Premier League, the squad is going to need strengthening and that hasn\u2019t changed.<\/p>\n \u201cTheir recruitment has been okay so far, but I would suggest none of them are nailed-on Premier League players who you know are going to be a success.<\/p>\n \u201cThey don\u2019t have the type of Premier League experience in their squad that they would like.<\/p>\n \u201cBefore the window closes, there are two or three new players they want to bring in and I think it\u2019s something they\u2019re working on behind the scenes.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are still positions they want to strengthen in, and they\u2019re going to concentrate on getting in Premier League players to aid that transition. <\/p>\n \u201cThen they\u2019ll get to January and see if there\u2019s more they can add to strengthen.<\/p>\n \u201cI might sound like a bit of a dinosaur, but you can\u2019t afford to ignore the value of having players with that experience of playing at this level.<\/p>\n \u201cFrom what I hear, Leeds are aware of that, so I suppose it\u2019s watch this space for now.\u201d<\/p>\n Kalvin Phillips backed to make Elland Road return<\/strong><\/p>\n With their desire to add more Premier League experience to their squad, with a central midfielder high on their list, talk about Kalvin Phillips\u2019 return is not going away.<\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong> revealed on 3 August that Man City are prepared to let Phillips leave<\/a> and take a hit on the initial fee they paid to facilitate a return to Elland Road.<\/p>\n Leeds are believed to have been keeping an eye on his situation at the Etihad and have long been linked with a possible reunion should an agreeable deal be reached.<\/p>\n This comes
