The demand follows Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SenTomCotton\/status\/1953108003525185686\">questioning Intel\u2019s board chairman<\/a> whether Tan\u2019s alleged connections to China would conflict with security regulations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">\u201cThe CEO of INTEL is highly CONFLICTED and must resign, immediately,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/114987288040725570\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump posted on Truth Social<\/a>. \u201cThere is no other solution to this problem. Thank you for your attention to this problem!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Tan was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/628539\/intel-new-ceo-lip-bu-tan-pat-gelsinger\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">named Intel\u2019s CEO in March<\/a> to overhaul the struggling chipmaker\u2019s business, after the board ejected his predecessor, Pat Gelsinger, three and a half years into a projected four-year turnaround plan. Under Gelsinger, Intel fell further behind TSMC as its competitor capitalized on EUV lithography \u2014 technology that Intel had invested in developing \u2014 to take the lead in next-generation chips and AI.
