{"id":325700,"date":"2025-08-07T17:05:17","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T17:05:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/325700\/"},"modified":"2025-08-07T17:05:17","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T17:05:17","slug":"bristol-flats-food-waste-not-collected-for-four-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/325700\/","title":{"rendered":"Bristol flats&#8217; food waste &#8216;not collected for four months&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The smell was atrocious &#8211; and I live on the top floor,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Eva Freeman said residents had initially been told the lack of collections was down to general waste being thrown in with recycling.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;But one bin man told us it was because they couldn&#8217;t get the truck up the narrow roads and that due to the type of truck they couldn&#8217;t reverse properly,&#8221; she added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;But when they did get a bin lorry to come, they seemed to reverse fine.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Ms Freeman said residents fear the problem could return, as Bristol Waste has only said it is &#8220;trying to come up with a solution&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">She said Bristol Waste had told residents it was considering replacing all the bins to try and get rid of the smell.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"&#8220;The smell was atrocious &#8211; and I live on the top floor,&#8221; he said.
